This week we got the good news that the EPA refused Trans Tasman Partnership's bid to mine the sands off the west coast of the North Island! Read more about it here.

That was the good news. The bad news is that the New Zealand government approved potential oil drilling off the west coast as well. Read more about it here. Needless to say, this is bad news for Mauis dolphins, who live in this area! Go here to sign a petition to the New Zealand government to protect Maui's dolphins and keep track of our website and Facebook page, because we are planning actions!
